I’ve actually been working on this for a little while.  Ages ago I bought a pack of 5-inch charm squares that had a nautical theme that would work in the kid’s room at the cottage. 

Of course, there isn’t enough to make a whole quilt so I decided to add t-shirt fabric because I’m loving the Alabama Stitch Book (a birthday gift from my friend Jane).  Then I decided to add knit squares after perusing some of the ideas from this Japanese zakka book.  So I’ve been cutting up t-shirts and knitting squares and last night started putting them together.  The whole thing will be cotton but I’m thinking something cozy like fleece for the backing.
