have I mentioned the teacher’s are on strike here?  sigh. 

No end in sight, although apparently there is another offer on the table, but given that the last offer was rejected by 75% of the teachers I expect that this latest offer will likely just edge them a wee bit closer to a deal.  A community meeting held by the school board this week to discuss ordering the teachers back to work ended up with them backing down — parents are overwhelmingly on the side of the teachers.  yay.

In the mean time, Derick is helping out by taking the children away during the evenings and giving me a respite.  Swimming is usually involved.
