Inspired by my dear friend Sophie, (see part one over at her blog) I too decided to try out her awesome pear butter recipe. I didn’t buy 28 pounds of pears though, but did get a h-u-g-e bag of Bartletts at the local farmer’s market. My crock pot was full when I started cooking it and half full by the time it was nice and thick. Yummy. I probably overdid it on the cloves, but I still love it. The kids, not so much, which means more for me. I’ve sent over a jar to my neighbor (who cuts my hair in exchange for such goodies).
