printing

I’ve been busy carving a set of woodblocks and last night at class I finally got a chance to print them up.  It took me awhile to get in the groove, but I’m pretty pleased with the first run.

This is all (but one) of the blocks crammed together and printed onto paper.  You can see here where I need to do some cleanup on the blocks.  But not too much as I do like the look of the carving.

These are the same blocks printed on hand-dyed wool felt.  I need to try this again on my small press where I’ll have more control of the pressure.

This final print is my woodblock printed onto pages from a Japanese calligraphy practice book.  One of the women brought it in and let us cut out pages to use.  I love the effect.
