printmaking, kids, husband, long weekends. I think all I’m really doing these days is trying to keep up. I’m not stressed about it, although I did find myself thinking about cleaning out the garage while having a deep tissue massage… what does that say about my ability to relax?
We took an extra day and spent Memorial Day weekend at this hotel . If you have kids, this is a must. We barely spent any time in our room, between the water park, the quests and adventures, the buffets and generally hanging about. There was so much to do. So much that despite the buffets and generally amazing meals, I managed to lose a pound. No kidding, I think I logged 10 miles going up and down stairs with the kids. If you don’t have kids, this is probably the worst place to vacation. (For instance, the small bar in one of the restaurants closed at 11pm but the teen dance party went until midnight.)
The massage was a treat from my husband. Along with a manicure and pedicure. The manicure is long gone, and my hands feel like they’ve never had cream on them but it was nice while it lasted. even the kids got manis and pedis at the ice cream parlor, they both smelled like chocolate. mmm.
