an anniversary

I have been writing this little blog for 5 years

Five years is a long time.  Over that time I’ve met so many friends via the internet, reconnected with old friends and stayed in touch with a family that is spread across the globe.  I’ve talked about the good things, the not so good things, crafting, art, kids and cooking.  And everyday someone, somewhere finds and reads what I have to say (thanks Dad!).  It started out as just a lark, something to try.  It turned into a journal of sorts.  I have to admit that the entries have been few and far between lately and I’m sorry about that because I truly do love my blog.

To mark this anniversary I have decided to renew my interest in blogging.  To make some changes to it (starting tomorrow).   I’ll have tags so you can sort through the entries.  I’ll have daily entries.  I’ll talk more about the printing process as this is where most of my thoughts are these days.  I’ll talk a bit about eating locally and trying to walk gently on the planet – more as a way of keeping me honest in my efforts.  I’ll have links to blogs, websites, video, music and books that I enjoy.

And of course, to mark this anniversary there is a little giveaway.  Just drop me an email, a comment right here, or a note over on Facebook.  The prize?  Well, there will be two.  The first prize is a stash of six little glitter seashell ornaments.  You can put these on your tree, hang them from a lamp, where ever you need a little sparkle.  The second prize is, of course, a print.  A copy of my latest seashore print, “kelp”.

Wow – I can\’t believe it has been 5 years (where does the time go?). I\’m soooo glad you are going to be blogging again daily – it is hard to keep up with all of your creativity otherwise! Really like the kelp print and wish I could just drop by and see your upcoming show … alas. Will you post some pics of your prints hanging at the show?

I will post pictures of my show! I\’m excited but the deadline is looming. I\’ve got enough for the two big walls, a print in the works for the third. But there are alot of other walls too… eek.
