Nothing says “Merry Christmas” like a remote control toy that takes every battery we can scrounge up! But it makes for a happy little boy. A dog of his very own. Of course the first tricks he figured out for him to do are to lift his leg – with real watery sound effects and to fart. sigh. Little boys, big boys, they’re all the same.
Sometimes it’s the littlest gifts that are the most fun. Like a “rubik’s snake” for Miss R or an empty box for Rainbow.
A Sony Reader for me. Totally unexpected and I’m so excited. I’ve already bought a couple of books for it, and Derick downloaded a free Harlequin romance (lol) and a book on sandwiches (he has found a site with tons of vintage books that are now in the public domain and I love cookbooks from the 1950’s and 60’s). Was going to download a couple of books from the library but their website is quite overwhelmed at the moment! I don’t think I’m the only one to get an e-reader for Christmas.
And now the beef roast and the tofurkey are battling it out in the oven for supremacy. The mushroom gravy is bubbling away and the potatoes, broccoli and yorkshire puddings are about to be prepped.
We are so lucky to be happy, healthy and to have wonderful friends and family. Merry Christmas to everyone.
