This weekend I managed to get out my beads and felt and spend a couple of hours making things.
I haven’t made little beaded things in a long time. These sweet pins are done with (mostly) seed beads and are tiny and fussy to make. The squid is my favorite, big surprise. These may end up in my little etsy shop but were made with the idea of donating them to the Ocean Shores Interpretive Center for fundraising.
I also love working with felt. These two flowers were done by stitching together the individual petals and layering them. The photos make them look a bit flat but they are actually very full with all the layers. The pink flower is a pin and the red is to be a hairclip for Miss R. My little girl of the yoga pants and huge hoodies likes to wear flowers in her hair – go figure.

Very cute! I don\’t like doing much with seed beads because it is so finicky. Also, as I need reading glasses and brighter lights more and more, it\’s not as fun.

Neora, I hear you! Half the time I have my glasses on top of my head to see better. Luckily the sun was shining when I made these as I didn\’t have my trusty ultra bright craft light with me.
