Am I beginning to sound like Alice from “The United States of Tara”? Sensible shoes, tea towels, now spring cleaning.
It’s because I found this cute (and yes, probably overpriced) set of cleaning supplies. It includes counter top spray, window cleaner, all purpose cleaner and dish soap. How could I resist? This and a few rags and I’ve been wiping everything down, counters, windows, walls, floors. My house is still an untidy mess, but underneath, it smells divine and is clean.
And all in rhubarb scent – it is wonderful and fresh. Honestly, I wasn’t going to let this gem languish on the store shelf, was I?
I love rhubarb. Rhubarb cake, rhubarb pie and even stewed rhubarb. It just means spring to me.
This year, for the first time ever (which I really can’t believe) I’ve got rhubarb in my garden. Import, gourmet rhubarb all the way from my friend Sophie’s mom’s garden on Waldren Island in the San Juan Islands. I planted it right next to my new strawberry bed.
mmmm, strawberry and rhubarb pie. And rhubarb tart from the current issue of ReadyMade magazine or this fancier version from PCC.
