One of my summer goals is to get my kids cooking. My nephew took a cooking class last summer that ended in an Iron Chef competition. I so wanted to find something like that for my two, but they both balked at the idea of a cooking camp. So it’s up to me.
The other day I came across an awesome blog, cooking with my kid. I love Rebecca’s approach, recipes and photographs. She has a nice combination of vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals, she uses real foods or when healthy packaged foods are available, she’ll use those to simplify the process. For those of you with picky eaters, she even has a category called “picky busters”.
The kids and I are going to follow along, perhaps not everyday, but a few days a week. If I can expand their repertoire beyond toast and ramen I’ll be happy.
