finding creativity

I have been really quite sick with the flu for the past, almost, two weeks.   I have to say, that finding creativity, or the energy to do something creative has been really, really difficult.  I’ve tried to drag my sketchbook out, to stitch something simple, even to just think about my next woodblock or print.

and nothing.

I know that this will pass but the guilt of doing “nothing” (to just let myself get better) is almost overwhelming. Where does this come from?  In the mean time, here are some photos that are giving me tiny ideas for small woodcuts, possibly reductive…

These were all taken by my niece in northern Saskatchewan this past summer.

Thanks!! I had to move it over to WordPress because Microsoft is phasing out Spaces. It took me a long time to decide what to do, but decided to just move everything here. It’s working out.
