I finally just declared that I was finished my mermaid. I had reached a point where I could continue to encrust her beads and fuss with her hair and ponder colors of starfish or I could just say, “Done!”.

The piece is 24-inches tall including the glass “aquarium” that she is displayed in.  The photos aren’t great but hopefully the photographer for the auction will be able to capture her.  There are usually a lot of lovely glass pieces in the auction that always look fabulous in the catalog.

Isn’t she lovely?  And a little creepy?  The title, día de la sirena muerta.
