I knew that I wanted a globe in my show. How I was going to do it was the problem. Each idea that I had seemed overly ambitious.  The simpler ideas didn’t seem to get my point across. Not that I was abundantly clear on what exactly my point was. 

Then I found a map projection that I was particularly fond of.  (Those of you who know me might remember that I studied geographic information systems and worked in that field for about 15 years so, don’t get me started about map projections! they are awesome!)  Then I decided that my globe would be a globe trotter and needed boots.  And after the stinky cheese, well, everything needed legs.
