I have way too many fun pieces on my list to take a break. All I really needed was a chunk of time, which my knee actually afforded me yesterday.  Yay for broken knees.  Once again, you can see my mad pattern making skills in action.

I have a piece in mind that involves a fish. Yesterday I sketched out the fish and even started stitching it.  I love it and love where it is going but realized that it isn’t exactly right for the finished piece.  This is the first time in a long time that this has happened to me.  It is so odd. 

He’s a lovely black and yellow angel fish. He’ll be covered in beads, organza and sequins and will be mounted such that he can sit anywhere (unlike the one sided angler fish).  I’m going to set him aside and come back to him because I think he’ll be spectacular when finished.

In the meantime, I’ll try making a black cow fish.  I think that is more what I need. And cow fish are adorable.
