My son has been studying printmaking the last few weeks in art class. He told me that he has found his happy place, it is when he is printmaking. He loves to carve, to play with the ink, to roll out the ink… everything about it. To say the least, I’m thrilled. Yesterday he and his friend Ally spent some time carving and printing so I got out a piece of shina and joined in. I didn’t get much done because with two 10-year olds printing you also need a full-time person attending to cleaning up. It’s a messy process.
Today I’m going to finish carving my block and maybe even print it up.
Then I’ll get back to stitching.

Yea! Welcome back, even if it’s temporary!
