I made a bit of a last minute decision to invite myself to the “by invitation only” Pratt Holiday Art Sale (thank you Kamla!!). This is an amazing sale that I participated in last year. The sale is a fundraiser for Pratt Fine Arts Center in Seattle. Much of their fundraising goes to art classes for at-risk youth. They invite some amazing artists to contribute their work to the sale – you’ll find everything from glass, metal, printmaking, jewelry and so on.
You can find all of the information on their website here.
Because all of my larger pieces are at the gallery, and I’ve no new printwork, I’ve decided to go small. I’ll be selling a variety of ornaments, all in white! I’m having fun stitching these little guys. So far I’ve made sugar skulls, whales, polar bears and owls. In the queue I’ve got mushrooms, terriers and foxes. Possibly geese if time allows.
