another show

Four months and counting.  That is how long I have until my second solo show at Parklane Gallery in Kirkland, WA. I was invited to do the show last January and to date I have, well, not enough done.  The problem is, I’m a last minute kind of person. Combine that with my propensity for shiny things (see my previous post about needle lace) and I know that I am going to be scrambling.

The title of the show is (un)natural history.  I’ve made my list and I’ve checked it twice. There are now nineteen solid ideas on it.  Ideas that I’m pretty confident in.  Ideas that I’ve given a lot of thought to and know that I can make them and more importantly, I really want to make them.  Here is a close up of a piece I finished this past weekend.  He is one of a set of three and I’ve already got the second one cut out and the pattern ready for the third.  These guys are going to be awesome grouped together at the show.
