This fellow has taken longer to make than the other two dinosaurs combined. I thought that cutting and gluing each scale was tedious until last night at one in the morning when I was pulling “cooked” dinosaur teeth from the oven.
This is a Elasmosaur and they have a lot of teeth. Small, sharp teeth. I’m using metallic pearl Fimo clay and placing a small hole in each tooth. Once I’m done stitching the mouth I can stitch the teeth.
I know I sound like I’m complaining but I’m truly not. It is this type of small, repetitive detail that I love to add to my pieces. They don’t all call for it, but when they do, I get excited.
Now, if I could only get this excited about house work. hahahaha.
