Mishipeshu

Another mythological creature for my show.  My daughter was helping me decide which creatures we should have in the show. We’d already chosen the Cockatrice, and of course the Japanese Kappa, but we wanted another, something North American.  Rosie found the Mishipeshu, or underwater panther of the Ojibwa Tribe.

perfect.

This was fun to put together. The basics were easy, I had the brown fur and little wooden antlers in my stash (who doesn’t have little wooden antlers in their craft stash??).  The tail is especially long and we agreed that it had to encircle the panther.  The additional motifs and stitching were fun and of course once I started I couldn’t stop.
