This morning I took a long walk on the beach with my friend Sophie. Of course we were busy chatting about all the things we should be doing, didn’t have time for, should have done, and then Sophie stopped and said something to the effect of, “Here we are, in the middle of huge city, on a practically empty beach on a beautiful sunny day. This is all we should be thinking about.” We agreed that having “long walk on the beach” on your to-do list is very, very necessary. As is stopping. To look around, look up and just enjoy the company of friends. Thank you, Sophie.
On the left, my treasures from our walk. On the right, a moon snail that may or may not have been still alive. Sophie returned it to the sea.
