inspiration

A huge cedar was cut down recently in our neighborhood.  After driving by it a few mornings I finally had to stop and take pictures. The color of the wood, the shape of the logs, it was all so gorgeous. It’s funny how often I come back to trees and leaves in my work.  I’m looking to fill my sketchbook with possibilities for future work.

I’m starting to think about what I want to do next with my art, where I want it to go.  I’ve had a few really good discussions with my husband about it – he is a great manager and does a lot of career coaching, so he has amazing insight and some great ideas regarding my art as my career.  Now I need to talk to some art mentors to talk about my art.
