I don’t usually use this type of thread, the DMC #5 coton perle.  I actually bought it thinking I’d make pom poms with it but I loved my triangle embroidery so much, and loved the colors of this thread and it made me think of leaves and one thing led to another… You know how it goes.

I do find I come back to leaves as a motif in my art over and over again.  I imagine that at some point you learn to following your instincts and work with what makes you happy.  We’ll see.
