Well, the donuts and Oddballs were a success with the kids and they all managed to finish both projects while at the same time getting plenty of fresh air and exercise (thanks to the high school interns).
The first project on Tuesday morning is a tiny little bear, just two inches tall. The bear is one of the accessories found in the Oddball pattern from Monday, Believe it or not, it is possible to add a tiny bit of stuffing to this guy. I used perle cotton for the facial features and 2-strands of embroidery cotton to stitch the pieces together with very small stitches.
The second project is from the book Cute Dolls: Let’s Make Stuff by Aronzi Aronzo! This book is full of cute and very easy patterns for plush. For this Spritekin I used fleece for the body and felt for the features. All of it was hand sewn rather than machine stitched as described in the book. Here he is holding a teddy bear.
My daughter and I agree that this fellow looks like a Kappa so she’ll be telling the kids about Kappas before class starts.
