Today at Camp we are making two sweet little critters.
The warm up project is a sweet little bunny. We have made a lot of these guys at Plush Club. They come from Urban Threads and are meant to be left “in the wild” for someone to find. The kids love to find places to hide the bunnies and watch as people find them and realize that they get to keep it! There is a tag that is attached to the bunny explaining all of this and encouraging folks to go to the website and put a marker on the map telling where they found it.
The second project is a wee Chihuahua pup. This project introduces the kids to working with gussets, which gives the plush a real 3D feel. They can be fussy to work with but after stitching yesterday’s teeny tiny teddy bears, I know the kids are up to it! This pattern is from the book, Palm Sized Softies.
