My husband (with a wee hint from moi) gave me a wonderful Christmas gift this year, a year’s subscription to Whimseybox.

I can’t remember how I found them, but I immediately loved their tag line, “Stop pinning. Start making.” I don’t “pin” but I do pour through craft books and the internet looking at projects when really, I’ rather I was spending that time just creating, but it’s an easy trap to fall into.

Once a month the Whimseybox subscription sends you all the materials that you need to create one project. It’s a great way to try some new crafts. I looked through past projects and was interested in quite a few of them so I think that bodes well for the year.

The website also offers tons of links to other project ideas, a shop for purchasing supplies and a great blog with tips, more projects and behind the scenes at Whimseybox.

A year of creativity. I’m looking forward to it.
