A Blessing of Unicorns

Yes, a group of unicorns is called a blessing.

unicorn2Last week I had the opportunity to create a blessing of unicorns, or in this case, of hammercorns. This was a special commission for a past customer. The hammercorn is the mascot of  the SUNY New Paltz Metal program. The hammer that was made to replace the usual unicorn horn is a chasing hammer used by jewelry makers.

Aren’t you learning a lot today? My blog isn’t usually this informative.

The resulting hammercorns are so cute. I had my daughter draw a selection of grumpy and sassy facial expressions so I must give her the credit for the cuteness.  They are now on their way to New York. I hope their new owners love them.
