happy birthday

to me.

I love my birthday.  It’s a day when I can do whatever I want to do, and not feel guilty about it.  I know I’m not alone in this, but when I take time for myself it is usually with a little (or big) pang of guilt because there is always something else I “should” be doing.  But not on my birthday.

I had my usual Monday and/or Friday morning coffee with my friend Anna at Soulfood Books and Coffee.  Then on to Ben Franklin for a little crafty goodness.  Then to the library to pick up some eye candy books, including A Natural History of the Unnatural World.  Now I’m going to find a comfy spot to read my books.  There might be a nap involved as well.

Tonight my husband is taking me out for dinner and a movie at this schmancy movie house, where they actually serve you dinner and drinks right at your extra comfy lounge chair during the movie.  Yay.
