Friday Favorites: Adagio Teas

teaI didn’t mean to do two shops in a row in my favorites but we got an order of tea this week and it was such an exciting event that I knew I had to mention Adagio Teas, specifically all the great blends of Cara McGee.  Adagio carries so many different teas it is difficult to choose.  Cara makes it so much easier by creating custom blends based on fandoms. For example, we are big Dr. Who fans around here so we have tried almost every one of the Dr. Who blends! We are working our way through the Sherlock blends as well as a few of the Hobbit and Marvel blends. This week we got the Good Omen blends, Crowley (dark and smoky) and Aziraphale (sweet and warming).

Obviously we are big tea drinkers in our house (I’m the only coffee drinker). In fact, we have a nightly ritual of after dinner tea and conversation. It gives us a wonderful chance to really catch up on the day, more than just the usual “good”.  We have a large stock of Cara’s teas. It is fun to pick them based on the characters from current pop culture and a wonderful surprise with each different blend we try.  I like the smoky blends like Aziraphale or Smaug (yes, the dragon from The Hobbit has his own tea. The rest of the family prefer the sweeter blends.

As I write this I am sipping a cup of 007 tea, a blend of Irish Breakfast, Gunpowder and caramel.  Admit it, that just sounds like Daniel Craig, doesn’t it!?

When I find fabulous artists I never wish that I could draw/stitch/create like them.  I’m always just glad to have found them and know that their art is there for me to come back to time and again.  I’ve decided to start featuring some of my favorites every Friday so that you can enjoy them too.
