There was one more podium at the gallery when I was there on Monday and I just couldn’t leave it that way. Plus I had this piece of off-white velvet from the remnant bin that needed to be made into something. My friends had lots of ideas but when Moki suggested a sugar skull…
I love making tiny sugar skull pins. I wanted to make this one look more like a real skull sot the back is curved outwards. It’s quite difficult to see it at it’s best in these photos. The little spider is busy making a web on the back of the skull. The skull is mounted at a tilt on a wooden block. It stands about 18” tall.

I’m letting the snafus get me down this week. The fact that you whipped this out is truly inspiring.
How are things with the 2 broken arms??
