My neighbor brought over the base for my pheasant this morning.   It is made of wood but the lovely stain and finish makes it look like marble.  I just set the pheasant on top so you get the idea, it still needs a bit of time to “cure” but it is exactly what I wanted.

I’ll drop it off at the Kirkland Arts Center later this week.  I’ll take some proper photos before it leaves the building.
